The full API documentation is available at billit.io/apidocs. There you will find detailed examples, endpoints, request/response schemas and much more.

We provide a full sandbox environment where you can run all your tests safely. Create invoices, clients and products and see how they appear in the UI without touching real data.

You certainly can, and sometimes that is the right solution. Most developers, though, prefer to work with a much simpler API and to have the matching entities (products, contacts, taxes etc.) created in the cloud account, especially if they invoice from several systems and want a single invoicing endpoint. One more big benefit: if a submission goes wrong and gets no MARK, myDATA is down, or there is any other problem, the main cloud app has a dedicated section for resubmissions and myDATA status that a non-technical person (front office or accounting) can handle.

You can receive webhooks for key events such as new invoices, invoice updates, payments, myDATA status changes, MARK creation for a document and more. All events are real-time, so your system always stays up to date. You will find the full list in the corresponding plugin when you activate it.

The Billit API is stable and has been used in production for over a decade. We follow semantic versioning and every breaking change comes with advance notice. Compatibility is our priority.

Zapier is a separate, internationally established platform with its own subscription that builds "bridges" between systems and runs automations. For example, since our platform supports it, someone with no programming knowledge can set things up so that when a document is paid, a Slack notification goes out with a message, 3 emails go to 3 different departments and a shared Excel file is updated automatically. And if the client does not exist yet in our CRM, they are added automatically with their details. Zapier supports 5,000 apps and can help a lot of businesses that have special needs but no time to build such bridges and automations themselves.
